The Google way, another way to waste afternoon summers
Today I'm come back to my home with another book in my bag. The main plans have changed regarding the impossibility to buy in Catalan Bookshop the bible of Linkers and Loaders, the boyshop told to me "Linkers and Loaders was published in 1999, and exist only a English Version. Did you see a lot of English books over my Desktop ? The most of these books will come back to source editors". Ok I will try to buy book in Amazon. But, I was in a bookshop. And I spend some time seeking for any amazing title like "Multithreading programing for multi core environments" or "Python hacking internals" or "A constructive analysis against the current kernel infrastructure" ... but I didn't found this kind of book, a lot of books with hate titles has passed through my hands "Learning Java in 9 months" or "Enlarge your project with C#" or "Hacking yourself"... At end I bough some none technical book The Google Way. The Google Way, written by Bernard Girard, explain for non technical readers how Larry and Sergei builds the most bigger search engine without follow the classic model capitalist. This explanation covers economic founder model, the advertising program, how developer teams are organized and another interesting things. I had the opportunity to read this afternoon the first part called An Unorthodox Corporate Saga, it's talking about how Sergei and Larry launch the Google projecte when they leave Standford University and how they search money in a Capital Venture enterprises, etc .. The book it's easy to read and has a non deep mainly arguments to understand the environment of Google search engine.Posted at: 20:00 | category: /misc | Comments (0)
